How often do I practice? What skills do I practice? How long do I practice? What are my goals for the end of the term? How do I feel I am progressing? Am I improving? Why or why not?
I practice almost everyday except for Saturdays and Sundays, I practice a lot like that because I have a different guitar class which focuses on classical music so I have to practice to be good in that class. I usually practice my fingering skills, note-reading skills, tuning skills, sometimes strumming and I practice the songs that my other guitar teacher gave me and the ones Mr. Arunski gave me. I usually practice from 25 to 30 minutes per practice. My goal at the end of the term is to know all about playing modern music on guitars. I feel like my strumming skills are getting better because I'm strumming after songs I like so it's better. I think I'm improving because I'm practicing.

Guitar I Class Reflections #1
1) Q: How am I and other students in class musically similar and different?
A:The similarities between me and this whole class is that almost everyone has at least one guitar-related story, knows how to play at least one song, could read music notes (some of them could, but forgot how), and participated in at least one AIS Talent Show. The differences between me and the whole class are like... meeting a famous pop-star, knowing how to play the piano, knowing something about drums and some of them like instrumental music rather than songs with lyrics and one of them even hates singing.
2) Q: What is my goal in Guitar I?
A: My goal in Guitar I is to find out more about the basics of the guitar, music theories, chords, note-reading, and possibly tab-reading.
3) Q: Do I have any other thoughts about the class, guitar or music?
A: The only think I'm thinking of is learning tabs, that's my only thought.
